San Siro – The Giuseppe Meazza Stadium (Italian: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza), better known as the San Siro Stadium, is a football stadium in Milan, Italy. The stadium is the home ground of the local football teams Inter and Milan. The stadium was built in 1925 in the Milanese district of San Siro, which gave it its original name, in 1979 its name was officially changed to “Giuseppe Meazza” after Giuseppe Meazza, a former Italian player who played in the 1930s and 1940s. The first match at the stadium was held on 19 September 1926, between Inter and Milan in front of about 35,000 spectators (3-6 to Inter at the end). Total capacity – 80,018
