Everton Football Club is an English football club from the city of Liverpool, founded in 1878. Everton is one of the most successful clubs of all time in English football, and has been in the top flight for the most seasons (103 out of 107), in which it has achieved the highest total number of points achieved by an English team in that league.

Everton's home ground, Goodison Park, has a capacity of 39,572. The team's fans are called "Evertons", and the club is nicknamed "The Topps". In 2002, the club adopted the motto "The People's Club", a phrase uttered by manager David Moyes upon his arrival at the club.
